the problem that all paleantologists face is that the length, height and weight are all based on estimations from an incomplete skeleton. the skeletal structure of such a creature may result in it being lighter(the bones could be hollow just like that of t-rex). the general idea based upon the length estimates would make it phesable to say that the theropod is hevier and larger. however none of this is solid evidence so the largest dinosaur in my mind would still be the giganotosaurus as there is much more evidence to suggest so.
the structure of the skull has suggested that the spinosaurus could have eaten fish and it being longer and more slender could result it the animal having less power in its jaws. in comparison to the giganotosaurus it could also proove less dangerous and a less formidable opponent. the most formidable carnivore in my mind in a face off would be the t-rex. this is because it is more heavily built than the other two and its skull structure gives the carnivore the ability to crush bone.
however what i have said is still rather oppinionated and the likelyhood of these dinosaurs ever facing eachother is impossible. they lived at different time periods and at different locations.
I thik that spinosaurus is long but not as tall as giganotosaurus.
