No Fat people Allowed To Dine In Public Law Proposed

Junkfood Science: No fat people allowed: Only the slim will be allowed to dine in public!
It has actually happened. Lawmakers have proposed legislation that forbids restaurants and food establishments from serving food to anyone who is obese (as defined by the State). Under this bill, food establishments are to be monitored for compliance under the State Department of Health and violators will have their business permits revoked.

House Bill 282 was introduced in the 2008 Mississippi legislative session on Friday by Representative W.T. Mayhall, Jr., a retired pharmaceutical salesman with DuPont-Merk. Its co-authors are Bobby Shows, a businessman, and John Read, a pharmacist.

  1. what is also unbelieveable is what the USDA wants to do to those who own one or more farm animal, be it horse, cow, chicken, pig, sheep etc etc.
The USDA is running roughshod over those who own animals and want to raise them naturally.
While the USDA is giving corporate ag and factory farming all sorts of breaks, the rest of us who own even one chicken, even as pets, willl have to register our premises with the govt, microchip and file reports on all births, deaths and off property movements within 24 hrs or face huge fines. If disease is suspected the USDA can come in and depopulate a 6 mile radius (140 sq mi.) Reason- so big ag can tell the global market what a safe food supply we have and sell to japan…goofy, i know but it gets worse…see nonais.org for more info on how nais will affect all who eat!

  2. This post didn’t have anything to do with the USDA, so quite spanning, you worthless solicitor “esbee”. Also, I read that Mayhall said he “never expected” the bill to be passed and agreed that it was ridiculous, but he’s just trying to raise awareness for the “growing obesity epidemic” in Mississippi. Apparently there are a lot, and I mean A LOT, of very fat people there. Mississippi actually leads the Surgeon General’s list as the most obese State – webmaster

  3. I wish I could edit my spelling errors out of that – It’s what I get for typing sleepily in the dark.
