My Mother-in-law lives on the hill above the airport. After work, we swim at Sunset Beach, in the runway’s path. There is web cam at the Sunset Beach Bar, where the entertainment is watching the sun go down and watch tourists get blown into the ocean.. After you sign in, choose the Roof Cam, then choose PLIA Airport in the drop-down dialog box to see the action.

Are the planes really flying that low? I am having a disagreement with a friend, she saying it is not true. Could you please settle this for me by saying yes it is true, or no it is not. Thank you
It is very true. Click on the other links in this Post. The Air France pilot was fired for taking-out the fence with his 747 on the landing pictured here. So the planes aren’t supposed to fly that low, but they still come in right over the tourists on the beach to land. Bring your friend down for a Carib at the Sunset Bar and see for yourself!
